Enjoy Tobacco (Enjoyたばこ) is a tobacconist in Toyooka, in the east of Asahikawa, Hokkaido, built around rolling tobacco and tobacco from around the world. It opened in January 2017 and, as its own website says, moved to its present address in September 2023 to expand. It sits inside the green building of JUNCTION Leather & River Shop — the shop’s guide page names the operator as JUNCTION LLC — and its Instagram profile gives the address as “inside JUNCTION”.
Hand-rolling is the centre of the range: loose tobacco in dozens of makes and flavours — the shop’s posts regularly introduce new flavours from Black Spider, Ark Royal, Dora and others — with papers, filters and hand rollers beside it. Around that it stocks pipe tobacco, cigars and little cigars, flavoured and imported cigarettes, heated tobacco, oral tobacco and nicotine-free flavour sticks, and lighters and cases. The shop describes itself as a place for beginners and enthusiasts alike, and says that in the shop it can explain how to use e-cigarettes and let customers taste new products.
The shop also sells through its own online shop, enjoy-tabaco.jp, which can take orders during the shop’s holiday closures and handles them once the shop reopens. New arrivals, closure days and changes of hours are posted on the shop’s Instagram, @enjoy_tobacco2023. The first photo on this page is from that feed and the other three were provided by the shop.
Opening Hours
Hours shown in Japan Standard Time, as the shop gives them on its Instagram profile and website: 10:00–20:00, closing at 18:00 on Sundays and public holidays. It is closed every Wednesday and, since June 2025, on the third Sunday of each month — the shop’s website still lists Wednesday only, and Google’s listing shows Sunday until 20:00. Holiday closures such as Obon and New Year are announced separately on its Instagram, so check there before a visit then.

What to Look For
Look for a bright green building with the sign JUNCTION Leather & River Shop — the tobacco shop is inside it. The shop has said on Instagram that callers who were “nearly there” kept phoning because the building does not look like a tobacconist; a brown board reading TOBACCO たばこ stands by the entrance, as in the first photo above.
Online Shop
The shop’s online shop, enjoy-tabaco.jp, sells the same kinds of products and can take orders during the shop’s holiday closures. Its own pages say it sells only to smokers aged 20 or over who live in Japan, and that the first order needs an official ID document, sent in once, for the age check.
Smoking
You can smoke outside, at the entrance: Smok has confirmed that a standing ashtray stands beside the door, as in the first photo above. Smoking inside the shop is not confirmed — the shop’s guide says new products can be tasted in the shop, but Smok does not know what that involves, so ask at the counter before lighting up anything inside.
Payment
A sign on the counter, visible in the last photo, says CASH ONLY: no cards, e-money or smartphone payments. Google’s listing marks the shop cash-only too. The online shop has its own payment options.

Getting There
From Asahikawa Station
The shop is about 3.7 km east of JR Asahikawa Station in a straight line, in the Toyooka district. The nearest JR stop in Smok’s data is Minami-Nagayama on the Sekihoku Main Line, about 1.7 km away in a straight line. Smok has not walked or timed either route and has not checked bus routes.
By Car
