Smok ("we", "us", "our") is a free, static website that helps people find designated smoking areas in Japan. We do not operate a user account system, do not sell products, and do not collect personal data in any active or intentional way.
2. Data We Do Not Collect
We do not collect, store, or process:
- Names, email addresses, or any contact information
- Account credentials or passwords
- Payment information
- Precise geolocation data (the browser's location API is used client-side only and never transmitted to us)
3. Third-Party Services
This website uses the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:
- OpenStreetMap — map tile provider. Your IP address may be visible to OpenStreetMap servers when map tiles load.
- Tailwind CSS CDN — stylesheet delivery. Standard CDN access logs may apply.
- Google Maps — "Navigate" links open Google Maps in a new tab. Google's privacy policy applies once you click those links.
We have no control over data collected by these third parties.
4. Hosting & Server Logs
Our hosting provider may automatically record standard server access logs (IP address, browser type, page requested, timestamp). These logs are retained for security and diagnostic purposes and are not shared with third parties for marketing.
5. Cookies
We do not set any first-party cookies. Third-party CDN or map tile providers may set their own cookies subject to their respective policies.
6. Children's Privacy
This website provides information about tobacco smoking. It is not directed at users under the legal smoking age (20 in Japan). We do not knowingly collect any information from minors.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
